PREVIEW: Pats travel to Brandon for pre-season tilt with Wheat Kings
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats travel to Brandon and take on the wheat Kings, wrapping up their home-and-home with the black and gold.

PREVIEW
The Pats and Wheat Kings opened up their home-and-home on Friday at the Brandt Centre with the Blue Brigade cruising to a 5-2 victory after a 25 save performance from Taylor Tabashniuk and a three goal third period.
Julien Maze scored two of the Pats three goals in the third frame, and added an assist, leading the way with three points. In addition, Liam Pue showcased his lethal shot, ripping home his first with the Pats from outside the circle. Jace Egland and Caden Brown also added goals for the Pats who outshot the Wheat Kings 37-27.
Easton Odut and Prabh Bhathal each picked up goals for the Wheat Kings on Friday. Dylan McFadyen and Joffery Chan split the action between the pipes. McFadyen made 18 saves on 20 shots, and Chan allowed three goals on 17 shots.
The Pats penalty kill was a perfect 3-3 while the power play was 2-4.
COMING UP
The Pats return home for their final pre-season home game on Tuesday, hosting the Moose Jaw Warriors.

The 2025-26 season home opener is on Friday, September 26, against the Prince Albert Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The Pats will open the season on the road against the Swift Current Broncos on September 19.
