PREVIEW: Pats start Alberta road trip in Calgary
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats begin a three game Alberta road trip tonight against the Calgary Hitmen at the Saddledome in downtown Calgary.

PREVIEW
Tonight marks the third of four meetings between the Pats and Hitmen this season. Calgary as taken both meetings so far this season, 3-1 on October 25 and 5-2 on January 5.
The Pats are 3-3 in their last six games, and are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday at the Brandt Centre. Jace Egland scored his first career short-handed goal, and Zach Pantelakis scored his eighth of the season, and seventh with the Pats. The Pats were outshot 33-22, registering less than 30 shots for the first time in 10 games. Kelton Pyne got the start, and bounced back from a tough outing on Jan. 11 vs. Portland, stopping 30 of 33. The Oil Kings were 1-4 on their power play and 3-3 on their penalty kill.
For the Calgary Hitmen, they are coming off back-to-back losses to the Medicine Hat Tigers this weekend, as they finish off the final game of a three-in-three. Last night, the Tigers fell in a eight-round shootout to the Tigers, falling 3-2. Oliver Tulk and Tanner Howe scored goals for the Hitmen while Anders Miller made 21 saves. The Hitmen had a 2-0 lead in the third before the Tigers tied it with late third period goals from Ryder Ritchie. The shots were 24-16 for Medicine Hat. The Tigers were 1-2 on their power play and 1-1 on their penalty kill.
WHO TO WATCH
For the Regiment, Zachary Lansard takes a three game point-streak (2G-1A) into today’s action. In addition, Cohen Klassen has strung together six points (3G-3A) over his last six games dating back to his first WHL goal on January 4 at RD. Connor Bear, Keets Fawcett and Reese Hamilton also play their former team.
For the Hitmen, Tanner Howe takes on his former team for the first time since being dealt to Calgary in late November. The Prince Albert product has 12 points (4G-8A) in 10 games this season with the Hitmen.
COMING UP
The Regina Pats continue their Alberta road trip on Tuesday against the Medicine Hat Tigers at Co-op Place. Regina will then travel to the VistLethbridge.com Arena on Wednesday and take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes to finish the road trip. The Pats are back on home ice on Saturday, January 25 against the Prince Albert Raiders.
