PREVIEW: Pats Partake in Home-and-Home with Broncos
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats battle the Swift Current Broncos in the first game of a home-and-home set with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m., at the Brandt Centre.
Tonight, exclusive Regina Pats hockey cards will go on sale for $20 per pack, limited to five per person. Hockey cards will be available on the North West concourse by the kids zone.

The Regina Pats are 20-27-4-2 with 46 points, currently 10th in the East and five points back of the eighth and final playoff spot with 15 games left in the season.
The Pats are coming off a 5-4 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Tuesday, breaking their two game winning-streak, which was their third winning-streak of the season. Tuesday’s battle saw five different lead changes, and was tied 3-3 after 40 minutes, and was tied 4-4 early in the third.
Jaxsin Vaughan (1G-1A) and Tanner Howe (2A) led the way with multi-point games. Braxton Whitehead, Zane Rowan and Zach Moore rounded out the scoring for the Pats while Ewan Huet made 16 saves as his three game winning-streak came to a close. The shots were 29-21 for the Pats. Regina went 1-3 on their power play and 0-3 on their penalty kill.
Meanwhile, the Swift Current Broncos are 27-19-4-2 with 60 points, which is fifth in the East and four points back of fourth.
The Broncos are coming off a 4-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday. Mathew Ward led the way with three points (1G-2A) while Clarke Caswell, Connor Hvidston and Owen Pickering (1G-1A) rounded out the scoring. Reid Dyck got he win, allowing one goal on 22 shots. The Broncos outshot the Hurricanes 34-22. Swift Current went 2-6 on their power play and 4-5 on their penalty kill.
The Broncos are now 5-1-1 over their last seven games since January 31 when they defeated Lethbridge 6-0 and Regina 3-0 shortly after. During that time, the Broncos have outscored their opponents 27-to-13.
ROSTER NEWS
The Regina Pats reassigned Brayden Smith to the Saskatoon Blazers U18 AAA team on Wednesday with the return of Brayden Barnett and Ty Gibson to the lineup. Corbin Vaughan is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury and is expected to return to the lineup soon as the Merritt, B.C., product has been out since November 22.
