PREVIEW
Tonight marks the fourth of five meetings between the Pats and Tigers, with Medicine Hat 3-0 against Regina this season. The Tigers have defeated the Pats 5-1, 10-5 and 10-4 this season.
Ephram McNutt has tallied three helpers against the Tigers this season while Keets Fawcett has two assists. Connor Bear, Caden Brown, Jace Egland, Zachary Lansard and Zach Moore have scored against Medicine Hat.
Hunter St. Martin (5G-5A) and Gavin McKenna (3G-7A) each have 10 points in three games versus Regina this season.
The Pats are coming off a tough 6-5 overtime loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday. The Pats had a 3-0 lead slip away from them, and led after both periods. The Canes tied the game at 5-5 with six seconds to play before winning in overtime.
Cohen Klassen (2G), Keets Fawcett (1G-1A) and Ephram McNutt (2A) had multi-point games while Kelton Pyne made 28 saves. The final shots were 34-23 for the Canes. The Pats were 1-3 on their power play and 2-3 on their penalty kill.
The Tigers were last in action on Wednesday at the Art Hauser Centre, defeating the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1. Jonas Woo, Oasiz Wiesblatt and Marcus Pacheco scored for the Tigers while Jordan Switzer made 32 saves. The final shots were 45-33 for the Tigers. The Raiders were 0-5 on their power play while the Tigers were 1-2 on their power play.
The Tigers have now won their last two games, and are 2-1-1-1 in their last five games.
WHO TO WATCH
Cohen Klassen and Keets Fawcett are each coming off multi-point games on Friday. Klassen recorded his first two goal game of his WHL career, while Fawcett picked up a goal and an assist, giving him goals in each of his last three games. Fawcett now has four points in his last four games (2G-2A), while Fawcett has five points in his last five games (3G-2A).
COMING UP
The Regina Pats will return home on Feb. 19 when they host Tanner Howe and the Calgary Hitmen. The Pats are then back in action on Friday when they head to Swift Current and take on the Broncos. The Pats will play nine of their final 14 games on home ice.
