PREVIEW: Pats Cap Off Homestand With Country Night
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats finish their four game homestand Friday at 7:00 p.m., against the Brandon Wheat Kings inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats come in with a 8-7-1 record with 17 points while the Wheat Kings enter 7-6-3-1 with 18 points. It’s a battle for fifth place in the Eastern Conference tonight.

This matchup will be the first of three meetings against the Wheat Kings in the next week.
The Regina Pats wrap up their four game homestand tonight inside the Brandt Centre as the club looks to rebound from a 4-1 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday, and snap their two game losing-streak.
The Raiders had a 2-0 lead up until the third period where Corbin Vaughan netted his third of the season (first in 10 games) to bring Regina within one. The final shots were 26-23 for the Raiders. Kelton Pyne made 22 saves in the loss. The Pats went 6-7 on their penalty kill and 0-4 on their power play.
Meanwhile, the Brandon Wheat Kings have gathered at least a point in five straight contests (2-0-2-1), and are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the visiting Prince George Cougars on Wednesday. Nate Danielson and Jayden Wiens scored for the Wheat Kings and Carson Bjarnason made 28 saves in the loss. The final shots were 31-26 for Prince George. The Wheat Kings finished 0-7 on their power play and 5-5 on their penalty kill.
Additionally, the Wheat Kings have lost their last five road games coming into tonight’s action.
