PREVIEW: Pats Battle Blades On The Road
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats jump on the road today as they travel to Saskatoon to take on the Blades at 4:00 p.m., inside the SaskTel Centre.
The Pats come into this contest with a 9-7-1 record and 19 points, tied for fifth in the Eastern Conference. The Blades enter 10-5-0 with 20 points, tied for second in the East.

The Pats snapped their two game losing-streak with a 6-1 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday, finishing their four game homestand 2-2. Borya Valis (2G-1A), Parker Berge (1G-2A) and Sam Oremba (2G) led the way offensively in the victory, while nine different players gathered at least a point. Zane Rowan scored his first of the season and Ewan Huet made 33 saves for his fifth win of the season.
The Pats look to continue their success against the Blades today as The Regiment is coming off a 5-3 win over Saskatoon on October 27, improving their record to 2-1 against the Blades.
Meanwhile, the Saskatoon Blades enter this afternoon’s game with a two game winning-streak as they are coming off a 5-3 win over the Prince George Cougars on Friday after they beat the Prince Albert Raiders 7-2 on the road on Thursday.
Friday, the Blades got off to a hot start, leading 4-0 midway through the second stanza. The Cougars would pull themselves to within two, but that’s as close as they would get. Charlie Wright, Misha Volotovskii, Tyler Parr, Rowan Calvert (1G-1A) and Egor Sidorov would score for the Blades while Trevor Wong chipped in with three assists. Austin Elliott made 26 saves for his eighth victory of the season.
The final shots were 29-23 for the Cougars. Prince George went 2-4 on their power play while the Blades went 0-4 on their power play.
Despite the two straight wins, the Blades are 2-3 over their last five games.
