Pats make pair of selections in 2025 U.S. Priority Draft
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats made a pair of selections in Thursday’s two-round WHL U.S. Priority Draft. First, the Pats selected forward Henry Buttweiler with the 12th overall pick. With the 36th overall pick, the Pats selected Tyler Kunz.
Buttweiler, 14, split the 2024-25 season with both MN Blue Ox 14U AAA and Moorhead Bantam AA, compiling a total of 147 points (79G-68A) in 77 games. The 2010-born left shot forward hails from Moorhead, MN and tallied 40 points (17G-23A) in 22 games with MN Blue Ox 14U AAA, where he was second on his team in scoring.
Kunz, 15, is a 6-foot-3, 180 lb. left-winger from Grand Forks, ND. This past season, Kunz recorded 90 points (48G-42A) in 52 games with Grand Forks Bantam AA.
