UNSIGNED PROSPECTS
Drake Limpert | 2008-born Goaltender | East Ridge High (UNSIGNED)
Limpert, 17, split the 2025-26 season between the Minot Minotauros 18U AAA club of the NAPHL and East Ridge High of USHS-MN. Appearing in eight games for the Minotauros, the Woodbury, MN, product posted a 5-2-0 record, a 2.80 goals-against average, and a .860 save percentage. With the latter, the 6-foot-2, 154-pound netminder made 12 starts for East Ridge High, registering a 6-6-0 record, a 2.25 goals-against average, and a .907 save percentage. Hailing from the United States, Limpert brings a combination of size and athleticism to the crease, while also showing a strong desire to develop at the WHL level.
“The first thing that stands out is his size and his athleticism. He’s a big goalie who gets around the blue paint really easily. He’s a very committed kid, speaks really well and is mature. He wants to be a goalie at this level, so those are great attributes to have as a hockey player. I think for him, he’s really interested in the league and wants to come up here. He comes from a very athletic family. His dad is a lacrosse coach, and his siblings are in the game, so he’s going to be a player that has a lot of resources to continue to get better.” – Regina Pats Asst. GM Tristan Frei

Logan Edwards | 2009-born Defenceman | Tisdale Trojans U18 AAA (UNSIGNED)
“Logan was listed following our 2025 Fall Camp and played this season with the Tisdale Trojans in the SMAAAHL. He is a competitive defenceman who plays with edge, particularly in net-front situations and along the boards. We are looking forward to having him attend development camp and continue his progression.” – Regina Pats Asst. GM Tristan Frei

Calder Harris | 2010-born Defenceman | Regina Capitals U18 AA (UNSIGNED)
Harris, 15, hails from Moose Jaw, Sask., and spent this past season with the Regina Capitals, recording 18 points (2G-16A) in 35 games. He also added six points (1G-5A) in six playoff appearances. The 5-foot-8, 141-pound left-shot defenceman was called up for eight games with the Regina Pat Canadians, where he posted three points (1G-2A), and is signed to play there full-time in 2026-27.
“Calder was listed this season after competing at the U18 AA level, while also earning multiple affiliate appearances with the Regina Pat Canadians. He is a mobile, agile defenceman who moves pucks efficiently and supports transition play effectively. We look forward to evaluating his continued development at our upcoming development camp in May.” – Regina Pats Asst. GM Tristan Frei

Cortland Lemieux | 2009-born Defenceman | Delta Hockey Academy U18 Prep (UNSIGNED)
“We actually listed Cortland during the CSSHL playoffs in Penticton. He’s a big-sized body that moves really well and plays hard. He plays smart and hard, and those are things that interest us. He’s going to be able to come into spring development camp and meet our staff and our organization, and see what we’re all about here. We’re looking forward to seeing him. There’s a little bit of offensive upside with him in terms of his ability.” – Regina Pats Asst. GM Tristan Frei

Jacob Tait | 2009-born Forward | Tisdale Trojans U18 AAA (UNSIGNED)
Tait, 17, recorded 68 points (26G-42A) in 43 games with the Trojans during the 2025-26 season, leading his team in scoring while finishing tied for ninth in league scoring and tied for seventh in assists. The 5-foot-11, 154-pound left-shot forward from Prince Albert also enjoyed a strong 2024-25 campaign, posting 33 points (15G-18A) in 43 games as a 15-year-old with the Trojans.
“Jacob was identified and strongly advocated for by our Saskatchewan regional scout, Cole Shepherd. He finished among the top 10 scorers in the SMAAAHL, demonstrating his offensive capabilities. Jacob is a play driver who elevates his linemates, supported by strong hockey sense and a consistent compete level. We look forward to having him at development camp this May.” – Regina Pats Asst. GM Tristan Frei

SIGNED PROSPECTS
Jett Deschamps | 2008-born Defenceman | Virden Oil Capitals (SIGNED)
Deschamps, 17, spent the majority of his 2025-26 campaign competing for the Virden Oil Capitals in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL), making the transition from the CSSHL, in which he’d been for the last three seasons. In his freshman season, the left-handed defenceman jumped to 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, helping him collect two goals, 15 assists, and 17 points in 49 games for the organization. Originally from Headingley, MB, Deschamps earned a call-up to the Pats toward the end of the year, where he made his WHL debut on March 3 against the Medicine Hat Tigers. The blueliner appeared in three games for Regina this past season, finishing a plus-one and recording one shot on goal. With continued development, he adjusted well to the game during his brief stint at the WHL level. Deschamps was selected 96th overall in the fifth round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft by the Pats.
“When Jett came to our camp and got signed, he was a smaller frame defenceman, and we knew that he was likely going to grow, just based on the information that we had, and he certainly has. He came in and played a few games for us, and they were important games and I think he fit in real nicely. Jett moves really well. His feet are good, he moves pucks up with confidence, and just plays a simple style game, which is something that we like. It was great for him to come and be around our team and be around our environment. I think that’s going to help him as he moves forward. Virden has done a great job developing him and providing him minutes to get better.” – Regina Pats Asst. GM Tristan Frei
