The 5-foot-9, 152 lb. defenceman was drafted in the eighth round of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
“Jack is a smart defenceman who plays hard. He’s not the biggest guy but competes really hard. We like his hockey sense and skill, and has really good feet. His edge work is good. He had a really good year, he took another step. We’re excited to see him at development camp.” – Regina Pats GM Alan Millar
Thayne Wasyluk | 2009 F | Sherwood Park Squires U17 AAA
Wasyluk, 16, finished the 2024-25 season with 28 points (13G-15A) in 27 games. The Sherwood Park, Alta. product tallied 28 points (13G-15A) in 24 games with Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep in 2023-24. That led to the Pats selecting the 6-foot, 174 lb. right-shot forward in the fifth round of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
“He’s a hard working winger who projects to be a guy who is good in a matchup situation. He competes well and is a guy who also has some touch around the net. He likes to go up and down the wing hard. He’s a guy who we thought has taken a pretty big step, and I think Thayne is an interesting guy to see where he is at in the next year or two.” – Regina Pats GM Alan Millar
Ryder Dunn | 2009 D | Delta Hockey Academy U18 Prep
Dunn, 16, picked up 17 points (6G-11A) in 35 games with Delta in 2024-25, as well as six points (2G-4A) in five playoff games. The Richmond, BC product was a CSSHL U15 First All-Star Team (BC) in 2023-24, recording 30 points (13G-17A) in 26 games with Delta’s U15 program. The Pats selected the 6-foot-1, 201 lb. left-shot defenceman in the seventh round of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
“Our guys were really impressed with him this year. He took a really big step in terms of the work it takes and the investment in being a player. He’s a big body guy who is an effortless skater. He played hard this year, and was physical. He uses his frame in the right way in terms of gaps, sticks and angling, and finishing his checks and playing the game hard. He’s a player who can skate you out of trouble and is a player who has some offensive upside in terms of the way he skates and shoots the puck. He’s a player who can compete for a spot on our team at 16. We feel confident that he will be in our lineup in the next year or two.” – Regina Pats GM Alan Millar
Hunter Wilm | 2009 F | Swift Current Legionnaires U18 AAA
Wilm, 16, finished his U18 AAA rookie season with 28 points (7G-21A) in 43 games. “He’s a competitive, hard working forward who plays the game the right way. He can contribute some offence and had a really good year with Swift Current. They had a really good year and took Moose Jaw to the limit in the semi-finals of the U18 AAA playoffs. He’s another guy who projects to be a interesting player for us as we work towards his 17-year-old year.” – Regina Pats GM Alan Millar
Camden Zaporzan | 2009 F | Shattuck St. Mary’s 15U AAA
Zaporzan, 16, recorded 61 points (30G-31A) in 62 games with Shattuck St. Mary’s 15U AAA team in 2024-25. “Camden was our second pick in the 2024 U.S. Draft after Hordichuk. and made a real impression on us at our development camp last May. For Camden, it’s all about speed and skill. He can really skate, he can really fly. He utilizes his speed to his advantage in terms of how hard he plays the game and being able to generate offence. He’s another guy who we are excited to see at our development camp in May.” – Regina Pats GM Alan Millar
