Former Pats captain Nijhoff and Lions win 2025 Kelly Cup
Regina, Sask. – Pats Alumnus Logan Nijhoff is a Kelly Cup Champion! Nijhoff and the Trois-Rivieres Lions captured the 2025 Kelly Cup as ECHL Champions on June 7, defeating the Toledo Walleye in five games.
Nijhoff, 23, tallied 49 points (25G-24A) in 58 games, as well as 12 points (3G-9A) in 21 games in the playoffs. The Comox, B.C., product also played eight games with the Laval Rocket, the Montreal Canadiens AHL affiliate.
The 6-foot, 187 lbs. forward began his professional career in 2022-23, playing for the AHL’s San Diego Gulls and later the ECHL’s Indy Fuel and Tulsa Oilers. In 2023-24, Nijhoff played for the Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs.
Nijhoff played his entire five year WHL career with the Pats from 2017-2022, recording 123 points (61G-62A) in 231 games, serving as team captain from 2020-22.
