On March 14, 2026, the Edmonton Oil Kings held Star Wars Night as they battled the Brandon Wheat Kings. As part of the evening, the Oil Kings wore specialty Star Wars jerseys that were auctioned off at the game. Through the jersey sales, the Oil Kings were able to donate more than $16,000 to Sorrentino’s Compassion House in Edmonton.

Sorrentino’s Compassion House is a “home away from home” for women who have to travel to Edmonton for cancer treatments. They provide affordable accommodations, shuttle service to and from appointments, and wellness activities.
