Marshall Finnie was instrumental in the victory tallying two goals, with his second coming late in the third to tie it, and then helping setup the overtime winner from Roan Woodward for his second three-point game of the season. Eastyn Mannix notched his first career goal against his former team late in the second period to get the Oil Kings within striking distance entering the third. Adam Jecho got Edmonton on the board early in the second period. Both Gavin Hodnett and Gracyn Sawchyn picked up a couple of helpers in the win while Kolby Hay made 23 saves for his 8th win his last 11 starts.
The Hurricanes come in off a dominating win over the Regina Pats on Friday night at the Enmax Centre, a game in which they outshot the Pats 40-20 and outscored them 6-1. Sean Tschigerl paced the offence with a pair of goals and an assist while each of Logan McCutcheon (2A), Kooper Gizowski (2A), Trae Wilke (2A) and Leo Braillard (1G, 1A) notched multi-point efforts. Harrison Meneghin made 19 saves for his 20th win of the season.
