Edmonton, Alta. – As the 2026/27 WHL season approaches, it’s time to secure your tickets for the Edmonton Oil Kings Home Opener!
The Oil Kings announced today that tickets for the club’s 2026 Home Opener against the Calgary Hitmen are now on sale with great seats starting at only $20!
The club will kick off their home campaign and carnival fun with the best Family Fun Edmonton has to offer on Sunday, September 20th at 4p.m..
Back by popular demand, every Sunday will again be a Family Fun Sunday featuring bouncy castles, face painters, balloon artists and a post-game autograph session with select Oil Kings players!
This will be the fourth time that the Oil Kings will play the Hitmen in the Home Opener. Edmonton is 2-1-0-0 in the previous three home openers against Calgary, and overall, the Oil Kings are 11-7-1-0 all-time in home openers, and have also won the previous two.
A full schedule of promotional nights and giveaways will be released in the coming weeks. Fans can look forward to more theme nights, more giveaways and more family fun than ever before.
The Oil Kings will open their season the night before in Red Deer on Saturday, September 19 to take on the Rebels.
