        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<strong>Lethbridge, AB - </strong>The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have announced that 2008-born forward Logan Stuart has been named to the United States Roster for the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase.

Stuart, 18, was named by USA Hockey as one of 47 players to participate in the event while being named as one of 26 forwards for the showcase. The World Junior Summer Showcase will take place from July 26<sup>th</sup> until August 1<sup>st</sup> in Windsor, Ontario. The week-long event will include exhibition games between Canada, the United States, Finland and Sweden. The Manhatten Beach, California, product was selected in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals in the seventh-round (208<sup>th</sup> overall) and is currently attending the Capitals Development Camp.

The 5’10, 175-pound forward signed with the Hurricanes in June after spending the last two seasons with the US National Team Development Program. Stuart recorded a combined 45 points (13g-32a) along with 16 penalty minutes in a combined 80 regular season games during the 2025-2026 season. Stuart amassed 15 points (3g-12a) along with a plus-11 rating with the USNTDP U18 team in United States Hockey League competition.

Stuart has previously represented the United States at the 2025 CHL-USA Prospects Challenge where he appeared in three games recording one assist in both Calgary and Lethbridge helping Team USA to their first Prospects Challenge Championship. Stuart skated in 169 regular season games at both the U17 and U18 levels over the last two years, recording 90 points (29g-61a) along with 48 penalty minutes. He was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the second-round (36<sup>th</sup> overall) in the 2023 WHL US Priority Draft.

In total, Stuart is one of eight players from or committed to the Western Hockey League to participate in the showcase for the United States.  The 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship will take place in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta, from December 26<sup>th</sup>, 2026 until January 5<sup>th</sup>, 2027.

        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<strong>Lethbridge, AB - </strong>The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have announced that Logan Stuart, Dayne Beuker and Gavin Lesiuk are all attending National Hockey League Development Camps.

Stuart, 18, is attending the Washington Capitals development camp. The Manhatten Beach, California, product was selected by the Capitals in the seventh-round (208<sup>th</sup> overall) in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with the Hurricanes in June after spending the last two seasons with the US National Team Development Program. Stuart recorded a combined 45 points (13g-32a) along with 16 penalty minutes in a combined 80 regular season games during the 2025-2026 season. The 5’10, 175-pound forward amassed 15 points (3g-12a) along with a plus-11 rating with the USNTDP U18 team in United States Hockey League competition.

Lesiuk, 18, is also attending the Washington Capitals camp. The Duncan, British Columbia, product skated in 63 regular season games with the Hurricanes amassing 14 points (9g-5a) along with 106 penalty minutes during the 2025-2026 season. He finished as the team-leader in penalty minutes while finishing seventh in the WHL in PIMS. In two seasons with Lethbridge, Lesiuk has appeared in 96 regular season games (10g-9a) along with 128 penalty minutes. The 6’4, 216-pound forward was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the second-round (36<sup>th</sup> overall) in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

Beuker, 18, will attend the New York Rangers development camp. The Humboldt, Saskatchewan, product signed with the Hurricanes in June after spending the last two seasons with the US National Team Development Program. In 2025-2026, he recorded 61 points (20g-41a) along with 18 penalty minutes in a combined 87 regular season games finishing seventh in team scoring. Beuker collected 18 points (6g-12a) along with two penalty minutes and a plus-7 rating in 25 games with USNTDP in United States Hockey League competition. The 5’10, 170-pound forward appeared suited up for the USNTDP at the 2025 CHL-USA Prospects Challenge which was held in Calgary and Lethbridge in November. Beuker recorded one goal and four penalty minutes in the three contests. He also represented the United States at the World Under-18 Championships in April where he collected five points (2g-3a) along with a plus-5 rating in five contests finishing fourth in American scoring. He was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the first-round (14<sup>th</sup> overall) in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

Additionally, Hurricanes alumni Miguel Marques (Nashville Predators) and Jordan Gustafson (Vegas Golden Knights) while ‘Canes prospect Filip Novak (Columbus Blue Jackets) are also participating in NHL Development Camps.

        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<strong>Lethbridge, AB - </strong>The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League, have announced their 2026-2027 regular season schedule.

The Hurricanes will open their 68-game schedule on Friday, September 18<sup>th</sup> when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7:00pm at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena in the Dairy Queen Home Opener. The schedule will consist of 34 home games and 34 road games during the season. Of the 34 home dates, the Hurricanes will play a total of 16 games on Friday’s along with eight Saturday contests and on Sunday contest. Lethbridge will also play two Tuesday and seven Wednesday games during the regular season campaign.

Lethbridge will play a total of 56-games during Eastern Conference opponents, including 32 games against Central Division opponents and 24 games against the East Division. The ‘Canes will play 12 games against the Western Conference, including six games against the BC Division and six against the US Division. The Hurricanes will face each Central Division team – including the Calgary Hitmen, Edmonton Oil Kings, Medicine Hat Tigers and Red Deer Rebels – a total of eight times each including four at home and four on the road while facing all East Division opponents – Brandon Wheat Kings, Moose Jaw Warriors, Prince Albert Raiders, Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades and Swift Current Broncos – each four times, including two at home and two on the road.

The ‘Canes will play 33 games prior to the Christmas break and 35 games following the break. Lethbridge’s longest homestand will be three-games on four separate occasions, including the first from September 25<sup>th</sup> until October 3<sup>rd</sup> and the last being from February 5<sup>th</sup> until February 12<sup>th</sup>. The Hurricanes longest road trip of the season will be from October 24<sup>th</sup> until November 4<sup>th</sup> when they embark on a season-long four-game road trip.

Friday, October 2<sup>nd</sup> – vs. Prince Albert Raiders (Defending Eastern Conference Champions)

        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<strong>Lethbridge, AB - </strong>The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced the selections of 2009-born defenceman Dominick Radim Byrtus, 2008-born forward Oliver Sichtar and 2009-born forward Oliver Vanha in the 2026 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.

Byrtus, 17, was selected in the first-round (3<sup>rd</sup> overall) by the Hurricanes. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, product is a dual citizen of both United States and Czechia. He spent the 2025-2026 season with the HC Ocelari Trinec U20 team where he appeared in 23 regular season games amassing 12 points (4g-8a) along with 16 penalty minutes. He added seven assists along with six penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating in 10 post-season games. Byrtus also appeared in 22 regular season games with the HC Frydek-Mistek in the Czechia2 league collecting two points (1g-1a).

The 5’10, 190-pound defenceman represented Czechia at the U17 and U18 levels last year. Byrtus skated in seven games recording three assists at the World Under-18 Championship. He also skated in four games being held pointless with the Czechia U17 team at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. During the 2025-2026 season, the left-shot rearguard appeared in 23 games with the Czechia U18 club in international play amassing nine points (4g-5a) along with six penalty minutes while also skating in four international contents with the Czechia U17 team. He helped Czechia earn a Bronze medal at the World U18 Championships.

Sichtar, 18, was picked in the second-round (64<sup>th</sup> overall) by the ‘Canes. The Brno, Czechia, product spent the 2025-2026 season with the HC Kometa Brno U20 team where he appeared in 49 regular season games collecting 23 points (8g-15a) along with 20 penalty minutes. He finished sixth in team scoring for the Brno U20 team. Sichtar added four points (1g-3a) along with a plus-3 rating in five post-season games.

The 6’3, 190-pound right-winger was teammates with Byrtus on the Czechia World Under-18 Championship capturing a Bronze medal. Sichtar totalled one goal in seven games during the tournament. He also appeared in 16 games with the Czechia U18 International team amassing five goals. In 2024-2025, Sichtar posted 24 points (12g-12a) along with four penalty minutes in 42 regular season games with the HC Kometa Brno U17 club.

Vanha, 17, was selected in the third-round (125<sup>th</sup> overall) by Lethbridge. The Praha, Czechia, product spent the 2025-2026 season with the HC Dynamo Pardubice U17 team racking up 57 points (25g-32a) along with 81 penalty minutes and a plus-39 rating in 32 regular season games. He finished fourth in team scoring while also finishing fourth in goals last year. Vanha also ranked 11<sup>th</sup> in league scoring while ending the campaign 15<sup>th</sup> in goals.

The 6’4. 203-pound forward added 14 points (6g-8a) along with 20 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating in 11 post-season games with HC Dynamo Pardubice U17 team finishing tied for fourth in league playoff scoring. Vanha also skated in 14 regular season games with the HC Dynamo Pardubice U20 club during the 2025-2026 season collecting two assists and two penalty minutes.

He is also the younger brother of Jake Stuart, whose rights were acquired by the Hurricanes from the Brandon Wheat Kings in May.

Additionally, Hurricanes prospect Filip Novak was selected in the seventh-round (206<sup>th</sup> overall) by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Chomutov, Czechia, product spent the 2025-2026 season with the HC Sparta Praha U20 team where he collected 35 points (11g-24a) along with 60 penalty minutes in 28 regular season games. The 6’1, 198-pound forward was originally selected by Lethbridge in the first-round (52<sup>nd</sup> overall) in the 2025 CHL Import Draft.

In total, 37 WHL players were selected in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

The Hurricanes will open their historic 40<sup>th</sup> Anniversary season against the Medicine Hat Tigers. It will mark the first time since the 2022-2023 season that the ‘Canes will open the season against their Highway-3 rival while marking 24<sup>th</sup> time in Lethbridge’s 40-years that they will open against Medicine Hat. The Hurricanes in the previous 23 home openers against the Tigers have posted a record of 13-9-0-1 while having gone 4-1-0-0 in their last five season openers on home ice.

The Dairy Queen Home Opener will be the first of the Hurricanes 68-game regular season schedule for the 2026-2027 season and will be the first of eight head-to-head meetings against Medicine Hat. The ‘Canes posted an 0-6-2-0 record against the Tigers during the 2025-2026 season, marking the first time the club had gone winless against Medicine Hat in their history during a regular season.

        <content:encoded><![CDATA[It is with profound sadness that the Lethbridge Hurricanes announce the passing of former Governor, President and member of the Board of Directors, Herman Elfring, at the age of 76.

Elfring spent over 23 seasons with the Hurricanes before retiring from his role following the 2016-2017 season. During his over two decades with the hockey club, Elfring served in many roles including four years as President of the Board of Directors from 1995 to 1999, a stretch of time which saw the Hurricanes capture their lone WHL Championship in 1997. He also spent 21 seasons as the club’s Governor from 1994 until 2017. In his time with the Hurricanes, the team advanced to two WHL Finals (1997, 2008) along with the 2017 Eastern Conference Final. The Hurricanes have named their annual Community Relations Award after Elfring which is awarded to the player who best exemplifies a high commitment and contribution to the Lethbridge community.

In 2017, Elfring received the WHL’s Distinguished Service Award becoming the 22<sup>nd</sup> recipient of the Award. The WHL Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to individuals who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes on behalf of franchises and in doing so have made an extraordinary contribution to the Club and League levesl over an extended period of time. Additionally, in 2025, he became the eighth member to be inducted into the Builder's Category of the Lethbridge Hurricanes Wall of Honour.

The entire Lethbridge Hurricanes organization would like to extend its deepest condolences to Herman’s wife Carla, his children, grandchildren, extended family and all of his friends on this tremendous loss.

        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<strong>Lethbridge, AB - </strong>The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have announced the signing of 2008-born forward Logan Stuart to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.

“It means a lot to sign with the Hurricanes, and I couldn’t be more excited,” said Stuart. “I believe coming to Lethbridge is going to be what will prepare me the best for college hockey and beyond. I can’t wait to get things started.”

Stuart, 18, was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the second-round (36<sup>th</sup> overall) in the 2023 WHL US Priority Draft. The Manhatten Beach, California, product spent the 2025-2026 season with the US National Team Development Program skating in a combined 80 regular season games amassing 45 points (13g-32a) along with 16 penalty minutes. Stuart amassed 15 points (3g-12a) along with a plus-11 rating with the USNTDP U18 team in United States Hockey League competition. He represented the USA at the 2025 CHL-USA Prospects Challenge where he appeared in three games recording one assist in both Calgary and Lethbridge helping Team USA to their first Prospects Challenge Championship.

“We are proud to welcome Logan Stuart and his family to the Hurricanes organization. He is a player we think very highly of, not only because of his ability on the ice, but also because of the character and maturity he brings to the group,” said Hurricanes Interim General Manager Barclay Parneta. “We are honoured that he has entrusted us with the next stage of his development, and we look forward to supporting him as he pursues his goals. We believe he has all the qualities necessary to be a very important part of our team with immediate impact.”

The 5’10, 175-pound forward spent two seasons with the US National Development Program appearing in 169 regular season games at both the U17 and U18 levels, recording 90 points (29g-61a) along with 48 penalty minutes. Stuart is ranked 127<sup>th</sup> overall among North American skaters for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft by the National Hockey League Central Scouting Service. In his WHL draft year, he racked up 68 points (36g-32a) along with six penalty minutes in just 27 regular season games with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings 14U AAA team.

“Having a fresh start with a great organization; I’m pumped,” added Stuart. “I’m extremely excited to come to Lethbridge and start a new chapter in the WHL. The new opportunity, with new faces, is something I’m really looking forward to, and I can’t wait to meet everyone and get things going.”

Stuart is the son of former NHL defenceman Brad Stuart, who also spent parts of four seasons in the WHL with the Regina Pats and Calgary Hitmen. He is also the younger brother of Jake Stuart, whose rights were acquired by the Hurricanes from the Brandon Wheat Kings in May.

“Once again the credit belongs to our entire hockey staff for the relationships they have built and the work they put in every day to make our organization a destination for players. Today's announcement is another exciting one for the Hurricanes and the City of Lethbridge,” added Parneta.

        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<strong>Lethbridge, AB - </strong>The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club has announced the signing of 2008-born forward Dayne Beuker to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.

“Dayne is a talented player who has competed successfully on the international level, and we are pleased that he has chosen to continue his development with our organization,” said Hurricanes Interim General Manager Barclay Parneta. “We are also grateful that Dayne and his family have trusted us with the next steps in his development. He brings a strong skill set and character to our group, and we believe he will be an important part of our future.”

Beuker, 18, was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the first-round (14<sup>th</sup> overall) in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft. The product of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, holds a dual citizenship and has spent the last two seasons with US National Development Program. In 2025-2026, he recorded 61 points (20g-41a) along with 18 penalty minutes in a combined 87 regular season games with the USNTDP U18 program finishing seventh in team scoring. Beuker collected 18 points (6g-12a) along with two penalty minutes and a plus-7 rating in 25 games with USNTDP in United States Hockey League competition. He is ranked 76<sup>th</sup> among North American skaters by the National Hockey League Central Scouting Service on their Final Rankings for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

“I am really excited to join the Hurricanes. They have a great organization that has produced a lot of high-end players, they have great a coaching staff, management group and an awesome fan base,” said Beuker. “I think Lethbridge is a great place to develop. From the staff, to the facility, to the trainers, they offer it all. Being able to compete against a lot of good players in practice and to play a lot of games, this is a great situation for me to grow as a player.”

The 5’10, 170-pound forward appeared suited up for the USNTDP at the 2025 CHL-USA Prospects Challenge which was held in Calgary and Lethbridge in November. Beuker recorded one goal and four penalty minutes in the three contests. He also represented the United States at the World Under-18 Championships in April where he collected five points (2g-3a) along with a plus-5 rating in five contests finishing fourth in American scoring.

In two seasons with the USNTDP, Beuker recorded a combined 118 points (38g-80a) along with 36 penalty minutes in 180 regular season games at both the U17 and U18 levels. In his draft year, the right-shot centre racked up 103 points (47g-56a) along with 10 penalty minutes in 30 regular season games with the Humboldt Broncos U15 AA program before amassing a whopping 28 points (11g-17a) and four penalty minutes in nine post-season games leading the Broncos to a SAAHL U15 Championship. In the year after being drafted by Lethbridge, Beuker had a standout 2023-2024 season finishing with 84 points (41g-43a) in 44 regular season games before adding 11 points (4g-7a) in 10 playoff contests. That year, he led the Blazers to a SMAAAHL Championship while leading the league in goals, assists and points. He was also named a SMAAAHL First Team All-Star, the Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year and Top Forward as a 15-year-old.

“I am really looking forward to playing in front of the fans. I played there last year for the CHL-USA Prospects Challenge and it was awesome,” added Beuker. “I know a couple of the guys on the team having played with them growing up. It seems like a great group and I’m excited to get to work with them

I’m really grateful to get this opportunity to part of the Hurricanes organization, I’m excited to get to play for Matt Anholt, and I’m really excited to get things started with the Hurricanes. I can’t wait for camp; it will be very important for our group to set foundations of ethic, teamwork and play structure.”

Beuker is the son of WHL alumnus Dean Beuker who spent parts of five seasons in the league with the Tri-City Americans, Portland Winterhawks and Regina Pats before embarking on a four-year career in CIS hockey with the University of Saskatchewan.

“Full credit goes to our entire hockey staff for the work they have done in building relationships and creating an environment that players want to be a part of. I would also like to recognize Pete Anholt, who played a significant role in identifying and bringing a player of Dayne’s caliber into our system,” added Parneta. “We look forward to welcoming Dayne and his family to Lethbridge and seeing him in a Hurricanes jersey this fall.”
