Lethbridge loses 6-4 to Brandon
Canes dress short bench – 14 players in tough loss
rLethbridge, AB – An injury riddled Hurricanes squad suffered a tough loss Tuesday night at the ENMAX Centre as the hometown boys dropped their third in a row after a 6-4 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings. Dwight King had a four point night (1G,3A) while Colton Sceviour notched a pair for his 19th and 20th on the season, while Carter Ashton continued his breakout season with his team leading 21st goal of the 08-09 campaign. Michael Tadjdeh made 28 saves in the loss as his record dropped to 5-4-0-0, while the Canes power play stepped up in a big way, going 3 for 6 on the evening.

rNext up the Hurricanes will hit the road for a new year’s trip through the East Division. Lethbridge will play three games in three nights in Saskatchewan (Jan.1/09 @ Saskatoon; Jan.2/09 @ Prince Albert; Jan.3/09 @ Swift Current) as they look to improve on their overall record of 20-17-0-2 in 08-09. The fun all starts on New Year’s day as the "Boys from the Bridge" look to knock off the East division leading Saskatoon Blades.

rThis will be the second of four match-ups between the Canes and Blades this season. Saskatoon was able to defeat Lethbridge 3-2 in a well fought first match between the two teams back in October while the Canes swept the season series against the Blades in all four of their meetings last season. This included a pair of wins at the Credit Union centre in Saskatoon – 5-2 on November 16th and 7-4 on February 26th.
