Lethbridge Battles for 7-5 win
Canes tame Tabbies in wild one at the ENMAX Centre
rLethbridge, AB – Adding another chapter to the storied Southern Alberta rivalry the Lethbridge Hurricanes battled their way to a 7-5 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Wednesday night. The 3979 fans in attendance were treated to a classic hockey game which included everything – hits, fights and highlight reel goals. Brody Sutter(2) tallied the game winner with just under seven minutes remaining while Dwight King notched his 18th and 19th of the season. Mitch Versteeg (6), Carter Ashton (23), Brent Henke (7) and Kyle Beach (16) added the other Hurricanes markers, while Max Ross, Brennan Yadlowski and Drew Hoff each had a pair of helpers. Beach continued his torrid pace as he tallied the goal and an assist to bring his total to ten points (7G,3A) in his first seven games with the Canes this season. Lethbridge had a total of 14 different players get in on the point scoring as Juha Metsola had 19 saves to claim the win. The Canes now raise their record to 24-21-2-2 and will look to continue their winning ways on Friday as they play host to the Prince George Cougars.
