Hurricanes Ready for a Weekend o
Lethbridge, AB – After a busy weekend which saw the Hurricanes take three of a possible four points. (vs. Edmonton – 3-0W; vs. Red Deer – 3-2SOL) The Hurricanes now have another busy weekend ahead of them as they take on two of the WHL’s best. The Hurricanes will play host to the Tri City Americans and Regina Pats at the ENMAX Centre, as they try to keep pace with the surging Calgary Hitmen.

rThe Tri-City Americans have been on a tear this season and have become a staple in the CHL Mosaic Mastercard Top 10 rankings. The Hurricanes are a perfect 4-0 against teams from the U.S. Division this season, with wins over Portland (Nov.3/07 – 3-2), Everett (Nov.7/07 – 4-1), Seattle (Nov.13 – 3-2), and Spokane (Dec.5 – 2-1). The Hurricanes have a 10-7-0-0-0 record against the Americans in Lethbridge and an all-time record of 17-14-2-0-0.

rThe Lethbridge Hurricanes are very pleased to announce a very special event this Saturday night as they will be inducting three hockey heroes to the Lethbridge Hurricanes/Lethbridge Broncos Alumni Hall of Fame. From the Lethbridge Broncos Alumni – Steve Tambellini; from the Lethbridge Hurricanes Alumni – Jamie McLennan; and in the builders category – long time broadcaster Steve Fallwell. All three of these inductees will be honored in a special pre game ceremony on Saturday night for the Hurricanes match up with the Tri City Americans. (Saturday, January 19th, 2008 – 7:00 PM MST) Accepting on behalf of Jamie McLennan will be former Lethbridge Hurricanes and WHL coaching veteran Bob Loucks.

The Canes are 1-1-0-0 against the Pats this year (Oct.17/07 – 4-3W, Jan.5/08 – 2-1L) Last season, the Hurricanes were 2-2-0-0 against the Pats, with both wins coming in the friendly confines of the ENMAX Centre. The Canes have an all-time record of 52-57-4-0-1 against Regina.
