rSaskatoon, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes were shutout by the Saskatoon Blades on Thursday afternoon as the Canes suffered a 3-0 loss in Saskatoon. Rookie Brandon Anderson, recently called up from the Columbia Valley Rockies of the Kimberly International Junior Hockey League made his first start for Lethbridge and had an impressive 29 save performance despite the loss. The Canes overall record now stands at 20-18-0-2 a mark they will look to improve upon as they take on the surging Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night in P.A.

rLethbridge will play their third of four games in five nights as they take on the Raiders on Friday. This will be the second of four meetings between these two teams in the 08-09 regular season. In their first meeting of 08-09, November 19, 2008 the Canes skated away with a 6-2 win over the Raiders. Carter Ashton scored the game winning goal while Juha Metsola was able to defend 19 shots on net.
