GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Warriors on Bryce Salvador Night
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes gun for their ninth straight victory tonight when they welcome the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre on Bryce Salvador Night.
The Hurricanes are coming off a 4-0 victory on Wednesday night at home over the Spokane Chiefs. Brayden Burke scored his first WHL hat-trick in that game while Giorgio Estephan led all scorers with four points (1g-3a) in the game. Stuart Skinner stopped a 32 shots he saw in the game for his third career shutout.
The win improved the Hurricanes winning streak to eight straight games, their second eight game win streak of the season. The ‘Canes improved their home ice record to 20-3-0-0 on the season and 34-12-0-0 overall.
The Warriors are in the midst of a five game Central Division road trip. Moose Jaw has posted a 1-2-0-0 record in the first three games of the trip after picking up a 5-1 victory last night at Scotiabank Saddledome over the Calgary Hitmen.
Moose Jaw enters tonight’s game sitting third in the East Division just one point back of the second place Prince Albert Raiders. The Warriors have a record of 24-17-5-1 on the season. Moose Jaw took a 4-2 decision over the Hurricanes back in November in their only meeting of the season at Mosaic Place.
The Hurricanes will honour former Hurricanes and ex-NHLer Bryce Salvador before the game. It is recommended that you be in your seats at 6:50pm for the pre-game festivities.
