Four Hurricanes to Attend NHL Rookie Camps
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Monday that Joe Arntsen (NYR), Chase Pauls (LAK), Harrison Meneghin (MIN) and Noah Chadwick (TOR) will attend National Hockey League Rookie Camps.
Arntsen, 20, will attend the New York Rangers Rookie Camp after attending the Rangers Development Camp in the summer. The Dinsmore, SK, product was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the second-round (35th overall) in the 2018 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft.. The 6’3, 200-pound defenceman attended Carolina Hurricanes camp last September. Arntsen has skated in 202 regular season games with the Hurricanes collecting 82 points (21g-61a) and 246 penalty minutes.
Pauls, 19, will attend the Los Angeles Kings Rookie Camp. Pauls took part in the Kings Development Camp in July. The 6’5, 220-pound defenceman was originally undrafted in the WHL Prospects Draft before being listed and signed by the Hurricanes in 2019. The Osler, SK, product has appeared in 160 career regular season games with the Hurricanes totaling 46 points (16g-30a) and 101 penalty minutes.
Meneghin, 19, will participate in the Minnesota Wild Rookie Camp after being invited to Minnesota’s Development Camp in the summer. The South Surrey, BC, product was undrafted by the Hurricanes in the WHL Draft while also being undrafted in the NHL Entry Draft in June. Meneghin posted a 19-12-2-2 record during his rookie season with the Hurricanes in 2022-2023 with a 2.83-goals against average and a .908 save percentage and one shutout.
Chadwick, 18, is attending the Toronto Maple Leafs Rookie Camp. The Saskatoon, SK, product was drafted in the sixth-round (185th overall) by the Maple Leafs in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The former second-round draft pick of the Hurricanes in the WHL Draft totaled 20 points (5g-15a) along with 16 penalty minutes in 67 regular season games last season. He has appeared in 80 career regular season games with the ‘Canes.
The annual Season Ticket Pick-Up event is scheduled for Monday, September 11th between 4:00pm and 7:00pm at the Canadian Western Bank Lounge at the ENMAX Centre. Season ticket packages are still available for purchase for the 2023-2024 season until Wednesday, September 20th while individual game tickets for the 2023-2024 regular season will be on sale on Tuesday, September 12th at 10:00am. The Hurricanes continue the 2023 ENMAX Pre-Season on Saturday when they visit the Medicine Hat Tigers. The ‘Canes will close the exhibition schedule on Saturday, September 16th at 6:00pm when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels to the ENMAX Centre. Parking will be complimentary for the game. Tickets for the pre-season game can be purchased for $10.00 cash in advance by visiting the Lethbridge Hurricanes Office at the ENMAX Centre, the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Office at Cavendish Farms Centre or at any Gas King location in Lethbridge. Portions of the proceeds will support Lethbridge Minor Hockey.
The ’Canes will open the 2023-2024 regular season on Friday, September 22nd with the Dairy Queen Home Opener when they welcome the Swift Current Broncos to the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm.
