Canes battle for two points over
Lethbridge, AB – It had the makings of a heavyweight rematch and in the end the nearly 4000 fans at the ENMAX Centre would not leave disappointed as the Canes pounded out a 4-2 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings in a rematch of their 2008 first round WHL Playoff series on Friday Night. Zach Boychuk led the way with a three point (1G,2A) night fresh off his MVP performance in game Two thursday night in the ADT Canada Russia Challenge, while Cam Braes, Dan Iwanski and Colton Sceviour scored the other Hurricanes goals. For Sceviour and Boychuk it was their third game in as many nights after playing both games for Team WHL in the Canada/Russia Challenge. Juha Metsola made 22 stops on the evening to raise his record to 11-12-0-1.

rThe Hurricanes have now won four of their last five outings and have amassed a record of 13-12-0-1. They will look to continue their success this Sunday as they take on the Moose Jaw Warriors. Lethbridge will look to improve on their 3-2-0-0 record against Moose Jaw last season as they play host to the Warriors on Sunday night for the first time in the 08-09 season. Last year, the Canes played several close games against the Warriors with their last win on ENMAX Centre ice coming on Nov.11/07.
