Hurricanes Trade Ziprick to Warriors
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Thursday they have acquired a sixth-round draft pick in the 2026 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for 2005-born defenceman Aiden Ziprick.
Ziprick, 18, was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the seventh-round (148th overall) in the 2020 WHL Draft. The Russell, MB, product appeared in 32 regular season games with the ‘Canes totaling three assists with four penalty minutes. The left-shot defenceman collected two helpers in two games this season with Lethbridge.
The move trims the Hurricanes roster to 23 players including 14 forwards, seven defencemen and two goaltenders.
The Hurricanes return to action on Friday, September 29th when they visit the Edmonton Oil Kings in the first of two games this weekend. The ‘Canes will return to the ENMAX Centre on Friday, October 6th when they welcome the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:00pm.
