GAME DAY: Hurricanes Welcome Oil Kings on Military Appreciation Night
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue their four-game home stand tonight as they welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings at the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm for Military Appreciation Night.
The Hurricanes (8-5-2-2) enter having snapped a two-game losing streak on Friday with a 4-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen at the ENMAX Centre. Jadon Joseph, Calen Addison, Alex Cotton and Zach Cox scored in the win while Reece Klassen made 34 saves. The Hurricanes have won four straight games on home ice and are 5-0-2-0 in their last seven at the ENMAX Centre.
The Oil Kings (12-7-1-1) are coming off a 4-3 overtime victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday at the Canalta Centre. Brett Kemp scored twice, including the overtime winner, while Vince Loschiavo and Andrei Pavlenko scored the others. Edmonton enters having posted a 7-0-1-0 record in their last eight games.
Tonight will be the second of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Oil Kings and the first of two meetings this week at the ENMAX Centre. Edmonton earned a 6-3 win over Lethbridge in the first meeting of the season on October 28th at Rogers Place.
The Hurricanes will host their annual Military Appreciation Night tonight and will wear special Military themed jerseys that will be auctioned off online starting at 7:00pm tonight.
VS. OIL KINGS: Tonight will be the second of six meetings this season between the Hurricanes and the Oil Kings. The ‘Canes dropped the first meeting of the season between the two teams on October 28th at Rogers Place with a 6-3 loss. The ‘Canes were 3-2-1-0 against Edmonton last year having posted a 2-0-1-0 in the three games at the ENMAX Centre.
