GAME DAY: Hurricanes Welcome Oil Kings in Central Clash
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to action tonight after a week off as they welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.
The Hurricanes (35-15-2-5) enter tonight after an 8-2 win last Friday against the Moose Jaw Warriors at the ENMAX Centre. Brett Davis scored his first ever WHL hat-trick in the win while five others lit the lamp. The ‘Canes have posted a 16-7-2-4 at home this season and are 1-1-0-0 in the first two games of a four-game homestand.
The Oil Kings (40-10-6-3) enter after winning back-to-back games after smashing the Winnipeg ICE 10-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Rogers Place. Sixteen-year-old rookie Dylan Guenther, who leads the Oil Kings in goals with 25, registered a four-point game in the win on Tuesday. Edmonton has post a 17-6-4-2 on the road this season.
Tonight will be the fourth of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Oil Kings; Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-0-0 record against Edmonton in the first three meetings but sit 12 points back of the Oil Kings in the Central Division standings, with two games in hand and three more meetings head-to-head.
