GAME DAY: Hurricanes Welcome Oil Kings for First Time This Year
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play the second of a two-game homestand tonight as they welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7:00pm to the ENMAX Centre.
The Hurricanes (22-19-3-0) enter after earning a 6-1 win over the Regina Pats on Friday. Sean Tschigerl scored twice and added an assist with Leo Braillard, Brayden Edwards, Miguel Marques and Noah Chadwick added the other goals. Harrison Meneghin made 19-saves for his 20th victory of the season. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 13-7-3-0 record at home this season while they are 13-7-2-0 against Central Division opponents this year.
The Oil Kings (16-26-1-1) enter having earned a come-from-behind 5-4 overtime win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Sunday at Rogers Place. Marshall Finnie scored twice while Adam Jecho and Eastyn Mannix added the others in regulation; Roan Woodward scored the overtime winner. Edmonton has posted a 7-11-1-0 record away from home this season.
Tonight will be the fourth of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Oil Kings and their first meeting since October 9th in Edmonton. Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-0-0 record against the Oil Kings so far this year. Career-High: Hurricanes goaltender Harrison Meneghin reached the 20-win plateau for the first time in his career with a 6-1 win over the Regina Pats on January 26th surpassing his previous high of 19 victories set in 2022-2023. Meneghin became just the 14th goaltender in Hurricanes history to reach the 20 win mark. He sits with a 20-12-2-0 record on the season with a 2.43 GAA and a .922 SV % with two shutouts. Meneghin ranks third in the WHL in victories this season.

NHL Ink: Hurricanes defenceman Noah Chadwick signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on December 22nd. The Saskatoon, SK, product was a sixth-round (185th overall) selection by the Leafs in the 2023 NHL Draft. He became the first ‘Cane since Dylan Cozens (BUF) to sign an ELC deal. Chadwick has recorded 37 points (9g-28a) in 42 games with the Hurricanes this season.
