GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Warriors in Middle of Three Game Trip
Regina, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a three-game East Division road trip tonight at 7:00pm as they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors for the first time at Temple Gardens Centre.
The Hurricanes (3-9-0-1) enter after suffering a 6-3 loss on Wednesday in the first game of the trip against the Regina Pats. Luke Cozens scored twice while Tyden Lafournaise added the other in the loss; Koen Cleaver went 28-saves in the game. Lethbridge has posted an 0-2-0-0 record against East Division opponents this season while having posted a 2-4-0-0 record on the road.
The Warriors (6-5-1-0) enter having earned a 5-4 shootout victory over the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday. Lynden Lakovic scored twice while Ethan Semeniuk and Landen McFadden added the others in regulation before Riley Thorpe potted the shootout winner; Matthew Hutchison made 38-saves. Moose Jaw enters with a 3-4-1-0 home record this season while having gone 2-2-0-0 against Central Division opponents.
Tonight will be the first of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Warriors; Lethbridge swept the season series against Moose Jaw last year while having gone 8-2-0-0 in the last 10 regular season meetings. He becomes the first Hurricanes player to attend the U17 tournament since 2023 when Koen Cleaver and Will Sharpe appeared for Canada White. The tournament will take place in Truro, Nova Scotia from October 31 until November 8.
