GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Raiders For Final Time
Saskatoon, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a four-game East Division road trip tonight at 6:00pm MT as they visit the Prince Albert Raiders at the Art Hauser Centre.
The Hurricanes (36-19-2-1) enter on a two-game winning streak after earning a 2-0 shutout victory on Tuesday in Saskatoon against the Blades. Chase Petersen and Logan McCutcheon scored in the win while Jackson Unger made 30-saves for his first shutout as a Hurricane. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 15-13-1-1 record on the road this season while having gone 12-3-1-0 in their last 16 away from home. The ‘Canes are 16-4-0-0 against the East Division this year.
The Raiders (33-19-3-1) enter on a two-game winning streak after earning a 3-0 victory over the Regina Pats on Saturday. Harrison Lodewyk, Tomas Mrsic and Brayden Dube scored in the win while Max Hildebrand made 24-saves in the victory. Prince Albert enters tonight with an 18-7-3-0 record at home this season. The Raiders are 8-7-1-0 against the Central Division this year.
Tonight will be the third of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Raiders; Lethbridge has posted a 1-1-0-0 record against Prince Albert this season as the home team has won both games this year. Clinched: The ‘Canes officially clinched a playoff berth in the 2025 WHL Playoffs with a 2-0 victory in Saskatoon on February 25th. 300 Club: On February 2nd in Calgary, Brayden Yager reached the 300-point mark in his WHL career with his fourth career hat-trick. The Winnipeg Jets prospect became the 170th player in WHL history to reach the 300-point plateau having amassed 321 points (127g-194a) in 256 career games. He is the third highest scoring active player in the WHL trailing Andrew Cristall and Riley Heidt. His 321 points ranks him tied for 117th all-time in WHL scoring with Ryan Walter (KAM), Simon Wheeldon (VIC) and Manny Viveiros (PA).
35+ Wins: The Hurricanes earned their 35th victory of the season on February 21st against the Kamloops Blazers marking the 14th time they’ve reached 35 wins in their 38 seasons in Lethbridge. The ‘Canes 30+ victories marks the ninth-straight season that the ‘Canes have reached the 30-win plateau adding to their team record for consecutive 30-win seasons.
