GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Oil Kings Today at 2pm
Edmonton, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes make their second of three visits to the Alberta Capital this afternoon as they visit Rogers Place to face the Edmonton Oil Kings at 2:00pm.
The Hurricanes (20-10-4-4) are coming off a 4-3 victory o Friday night over the Vancouver Giants at the ENMAX Centre. Jake Elmer scored twice, including the game-winning goal, while Jordy Bellerive and Taylor Ross scored in the win. Goaltender Liam Hughes made 33 saves for his first win as a Hurricane. The win improved their record to 11-2-2-2 in their last 17 games.
The Oil Kings (21-13-4-3) were handed a 3-2 setback by the hands of the Victoria Royals on Friday night. Edmonton enters tonight with a one point lead on the Hurricanes in the Central Division standings. The Oil Kings enter tonight having posted a 5-1-0-1 in their last seven games.
Tonight will be the third of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Oil Kings and it will be the first of three meetings between the two in the next week. Lethbridge has posted a 1-2-0-0 record in the three prior meetings this season.
VS. OIL KINGS: Today will be the fourth of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Oil Kings. The ‘Canes have posted a 1-2-0-0 record through the first three games against Edmonton. Today will be the first of three meetings in the next week between the two clubs.
