GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Oil Kings in Rematch
Edmonton, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes make their final of four visits to Rogers Place this afternoon at 4:00pm in the final of eight meetings against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
The Hurricanes (26-29-3-1) had their two-game winning streak end on Friday with a 5-2 loss to the Oil Kings at the ENMAX Centre. Brayden Edwards scored his first career multi-goal game in the defeat while Bryan Thomson made 23-saves in the loss. Lethbridge enters play today with a 12-17-1-0 record on the road but are 5-3-1-0 in their last nine road contests.
The Oil Kings (46-12-2-1) earned their second straight win with the 5-2 victory in Lethbridge on Friday. Jakub Demek, Josh Williams, Justin Sourdif, Dylan Guenther and Carter Souch scored in the victory while Sebastian Cossa made 32-saves for his 31st victory of the year. Edmonton has posted a 28-3-0-0 record on home ice this season – the most home wins in the entire WHL.
Today will be the final of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Oil Kings; Lethbridge has posted a 1-5-0-1 record against Edmonton this season, while going 0-3-0-0 in the three previous trips to Rogers Place.
