GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Hitmen on Deadline Day
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to action tonight as they travel to Calgary to face the Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome at 7:00pm.
The Hurricanes (23-10-2-5) were handed a 2-1 overtime defeat last Saturday at home to the Hitmen. Justin Hall scored the lone goal in the game while Carl Tetachuk made 33 saves in the setback which was the ‘Canes second straight overtime loss. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 12-5-0-1 record on the road this season.
The Hitmen (20-12-4-1) enter on a two-game winning streak after the win against the Hurricanes last Saturday. Calgary earned a 7-2 win Sunday afternoon at home against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Four different players had multi-point efforts in the game. The Hitmen 11-6-1-1 at the ‘Dome this season and have won four straight games at home.
Tonight will be the fifth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Hitmen; Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-1-0 record in the four games prior.
