GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Hitmen in Central Clash
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes look to extend their franchise-long road winning streak to 10-straight games as they visit the Calgary Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome at 7:00pm.
The Hurricanes (32-16-1-1) enter on a three-game winning streak after a 4-0 win in Red Deer against the Rebels on Saturday. Leo Braillard, Brayden Edwards, Brayden Yager and Carsen Adair scored in the win while Koen Cleaver made 25-saves for his second shutout of the season. Lethbridge enters tonight with a franchise-best nine-game road winning streak sitting with 14-11-0-1 road record.
The Hitmen (32-13-3-2) enter on a two-game win streak after a 4-3 overtime victory against the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday. Axel Hurtig, Brandon Gorzynski and Carson Wetsch scored in regulation before Sawyer Mynio potted the overtime winner while Anders Miller made 28-saves in the win. Calgary enters with a league-best 20-4-1-1 record on home ice this season.
Tonight will be the seventh of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Hitmen; Lethbridge enters with a 2-4-0-0 record in the first six head-to-head contests. The game can be streamed on WHL Live, watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge or heard on 106.7 ROCK.

He is the third highest scoring active player in the WHL trailing Andrew Cristall and Riley Heidt. His 309 points ranks him tied for 146th all-time in WHL scoring with Mike Rogers, Mark Woolf and former Hurricane Cory Dosdall.
30 Again: The Hurricanes earned their 30th victory of the season on February 2nd with a 4-3 victory in Calgary. It marked the ninth-straight season that the ‘Canes have reached the 30-win plateau adding to their team record for consecutive 30-win seasons. The previous long was five-straight seasons from 1989-90 until 1993-94. Lethbridge is on pace for 44 wins this season which would be the seventh most in team history.
Stingy D: The Hurricanes enter play tonight as the second-best defensive team in the entire WHL allowing just 2.76 goals against per game, trailing Everett who ranks first (2.70 GAPG).
