GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Giants in Penultimate Game of Trip
Vancouver, BC – The Lethbridge Hurricanes play the second to last game of their seven-game road trip tonight at 8:00pm MT as they visit the Vancouver Giants at the Langley Events Centre.
The Hurricanes (8-15-0-1) enter after earning a 4-3 victory over the Victoria Royals on Tuesday at the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre. Kade Duell scored twice while Luke Cozens and Hudson Kibblewhite added the others in the win; Koen Cleaver was outstanding making 29-saves for his third straight victory. Lethbridge improved to 3-2-0-0 on their current trip while improving to 5-3-0-0 in their last eight games. The ‘Canes enter tonight with a 5-8-0-0 road record this year.
The Giants (8-12-0-1) enter on a four-game losing streak after falling 7-4 to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday at home. Cameron Schmidt scored twice while Aaron Obobaifo and Ty Halaburda added the others while Kelton Pyne made 27-saves in the defeat for the G-Men. Vancouver enters tonight with a 5-5-0-0 record on home ice this season, but have dropped the last two at the Langley Events Centre.
Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Giants; Lethbridge dropped a 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver at home last year in their only meeting. The game can be streamed on Victory+, watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge or heard on 106.7 ROCK.

VS. GIANTS: Tonight will be the first and only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Giants. Last year, the ‘Canes suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Giants in Lethbridge at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Each of the last three meetings between the Hurricanes and G-Men have gone to extra time. Lethbridge has posted an all-time record of 13-21-5-3 with two ties against Vancouver while posting a record of 7-11-1-0 with one tie all-time on the road.

Big Trade: On November 9th, the Hurricanes acquired 2006-born forward Kayden Longley, prospect Grayson Bauer along with five draft picks including a conditional first-round pick in 2026 from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for overage forward Shane Smith and the WHL rights to 2007-born import forward Vojtech Cihar. Longley has recorded 15 points (5g-10a) in 18 games this season. He made his ‘Canes debut on November 12th in Penticton earning an assist in the Lethbridge victory.
Seventh Heaven: On November 7th, Luke Cozens recorded a career-high seven points (2g-5a) in an 8-7 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings. He became the first Hurricane to record a seven-point game since Mitch Fadden had seven points in a victory against the Red Deer Rebels on March 17th, 2007. Cozens finished two points off the Hurricanes record of nine points held by Jason Ruff and Corey Lyons. He was the 11th player in ‘Canes history to record seven-or-more points in a game. The Whitehorse, Yukon product has recorded 30 points (14g-16a) in 23 games this season.
Tremendous Duo: Logan Wormald and Luke Cozens have combined for 27 goals and 59 points this season for the Hurricanes. The duo has combined to score 35.5% of Lethbridge’s goals this season. Both Cozens and Wormald enter tonight sitting in the top-15 in WHL scoring.
