GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Blades In First of Four Meetings
Saskatoon, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a stretch of five-straight road games tonight at 6:00pm MT as they visit the Saskatoon Blades at SaskTel Centre.
The Hurricanes (12-8-1-1) enter on a season-long four-game losing streak after suffering a 5-4 shootout loss on Saturday in Seattle against the Thunderbirds. Trae Johnson, Kooper Gizowski, Hayden Pakkala and Miguel Marques scored in the defeat while Brady Smith made 33-saves. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 4-6-0-1 record in 11 road games this season while having posted a 7-1-0-0 record against East Division opponents.
The Blades (15-6-1-1) enter with a 5-4-0-1 record in their last ten games after earning a 4-3 overtime win over the Moose Jaw Warriors last Saturday. Rowan Calvert, Brandon Lisowsky and Ben Riche scored in regulation before Tyler Parr netted the overtime winner; Evan Gardner made 21-saves in the win. Saskatoon enters with a 9-0-1-0 record on home ice this year while having gone 5-1-0-0 against the Central Division.

Climbing Ranks: Overage defenceman Logan McCutcheon suited up in his 250th career WHL game on November 16th against Victoria. He has appeared in 253 career games for the Hurricanes which ranks him 17th all-time in team history as he sits one game shy of Igor Merezhko for 16th all-time. The former third-round draft pick (60th overall) in the 2019 draft is also ranked eighth all-time in defenceman scoring in ‘Canes history sitting one point back of Terry Hollinger (126) for seventh in team history.
