GAME DAY: Hurricanes Return Home, Welcome Hitmen
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return home tonight as they welcome the Calgary Hitmen to the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm in the first of a three-game homestand.
The Hurricanes (13-10-2-0) enter after finishing a BC Division road trip with a 3-2-0-0 record after suffering a 6-4 loss on Friday in Prince George to the Cougars. Miguel Marques had a three-point (1g-2a) effort in the defeat while Joe Arntsen scored twice; Elias Knoester added the other goal in the loss while Harrison Meneghin made 25-saves. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 6-3-2-0 record in 11 home games so far this season.
The Hitmen (10-10-3-0) are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss in Red Deer to the Rebels on Tuesday. Chase Valliant, Keets Fawcett and Carter Yakemchuk scored in the loss while Ethan Buenaventura made 27-saves. Calgary enters tonight with points in five of their last seven games going 4-2-1-0 in that span. The Hitmen are 3-7-2-0 on the road this season after last night’s defeat.
Tonight will be the fourth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Hitmen; Lethbridge has posted a 1-1-1-0 record in the previous three meetings against Calgary this year.
