GAME DAY: Hurricanes Return Home to Face Tigers
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in the final home game of 2017.
The Hurricanes (15-17-2-0) began the second half of the season on Wednesday with a 4-2 loss in Medicine Hat to the Tigers in the first of a home-and-home. Jordy Bellerive and Lane Zablocki scored in the loss while Reece Klassen made 36 saves and was named the game’s third start. The Hurricanes have lost five of their last six games entering tonight as they sit third in the Central Division.
The Tigers (19-14-2-0) were led by David Quenneville in the come-back victory over the ‘Canes on Wednesday. Quenneville had three points, including two goals and an assist in the win. Max Gerlach and James Hamblin scored the other goals in the victory. Tigers sit first in the Central Division, four points better than the Kootenay Ice and eight points better than the Hurricanes.
Tonight will be the fifth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Tigers. The ‘Canes have posted a 2-2-0-0 record against Medicine Hat this year, but the home team has won all four games this season.
