GAME DAY: Hurricanes Open Seven-Game Road Trip Against Broncos
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes open a seven-game road trip tonight as they visit the Swift Current Broncos at 6:00pm MT at the InnovationPlex.
The Hurricanes (5-13-0-1) enter with a 2-1-0-0 record in their last three games after earning a wild 8-7 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena on Friday. Luke Cozens had a historic seven-point game in the win while Logan Wormald and Owen Berge each scored twice; Shane Smith and Tomas Malinek added the others. Brody Rotar made 17-saves in relief to register his first WHL victory. Lethbridge ended a four-game homestand with a 2-2-0-0 record while entering tonight with a 2-6-0-0 record on the road this season.
The Broncos (6-9-1-0) enter on a seven-game losing streak after falling 6-2 to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday at home. Brennan Brown and Carter Moen scored in the loss while Joey Rocha made 26-saves in the defeat. Swift Current fell to 0-6-1-0 in their last seven games having been outscored 39-12 on their losing streak. The Broncos enter tonight with a record of 4-4-1-0 at home this season.
