GAME DAY: Hurricanes Open East Trip Against Wheat Kings
Brandon, MB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes open a three-game East Division road trip against the Brandon Wheat Kings tonight at 6:00pm MT at the Assiniboine Credit Union Place.
The Hurricanes (10-19-0-1) enter after suffering a 4-1 loss on Saturday to the Calgary Hitmen at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Logan Wormald scored the lone goal in the loss while Koen Cleaver made 35-saves in the defeat. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 5-10-0-0 record on the road this year while having posted a 7-7-0-0 record in their last 14 contests.
The Wheat Kings (14-11-1-0) enter on a three-game winning streak after earning a 2-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday. Chase Surkan scored the game-winning goal with just 41-seconds remaining in regulation while Brady Turko potted the other goal; Filip Ruzicka made 24-saves in the win. Brandon enters tonight with a 9-7-1-0 home record this year while having gone 7-3-0-0 in their last ten games.
Tonight will be the third of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Wheat Kings; Lethbridge has posted a 1-1-0-0 record with the home team winning both contests so far this year.
