GAME DAY: Hurricanes Make First Ever Visit to Wenatchee
Spokane, WA – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a five-game road trip tonight in Wenatchee against the Wild at 8:00pm MT at the Town Toyota Center.
The Hurricanes (24-14-1-1) enter on a season-long five-game winning streak after earning a 3-2 overtime victory over the Tri-City Americans on Wednesday. Logan Wormald scored all three goals, including the game-winner, for his first WHL hat-trick while Jackson Unger made 29-saves in the win. Lethbridge improved to 12-4-0-0 in their last 16 games and 5-1-0-0 in their last six road games. The ‘Canes are 9-11-0-1 on the road this season.
The Wild (15-20-3-1) enter on two-game losing streak after being dismantled 12-2 by the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday in their last game. Miles Cooper and Luka Scherbyna scored in the loss while Brendan Gee was relieved after forty minutes after surrendering eight goals on 23 shots. Wenatchee enters tonight with an 8-11-2-0 record on home ice this season.
Tonight will be the lone meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Wild; it marks the first ever visit for Lethbridge to Wenatchee as they will face the Wild for the second time since their relocation from Winnipeg. VS. WILD: Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Wild as Lethbridge makes their first ever visit to Wenatchee. Road Trippin’: The ‘Canes opened a five-game road trip on Friday in Swift Current against the Broncos. Lethbridge will play two games in Saskatchewan before heading south for a three-game US Division road trip to face Tri-City, Wenatchee and Spokane. In total, the Hurricanes will travel roughly 2,300 kilometres.
Clutch Up: On January 15th, Logan Wormald completed his first career hat-trick with an overtime winner in a 3-2 win over the Tri-City Americans. The goal was his fourth career overtime winning goal which ranks second all-time in ‘Canes history, trailing Nathan Barrett who had five. Wormald has nine game-winning goals this season which is second most in a single season in the internet era for the Hurricanes behind Tyler Wong (10 – 2016-2017).
CSS Ranked: Koen Cleaver was ranked 16th among North American goaltenders by the NHL Central Scouting Service on their Midterm Rankings for the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Cleaver was one of seven WHL goaltenders while one of 66 WHL players ranked. He has posted a 6-8-0-0 record with a 3.35 GAA and a .890 SV% with one shutout this season for the Hurricanes.

Price is Right: On January 6th, the Hurricanes announced the acquisition of 2005-born defenceman Caden Price from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for 2007-born defenceman Will Sharpe, the rights to 2007-born goaltender Harrison Boettiger and five draft picks, including a first-round pick in 2026. The Seattle Kraken third-round pick represented Canada at the 2025 World Junior Championship in Ottawa. He made his ‘Canes debut on January 10th in a 2-1 overtime win in Swift Current.
