GAME DAY: Hurricanes Look for Win in Final Game of Trip in Brandon
Brandon, MB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play the final game of a three-game East Division road trip tonight at 6:00pm as they face the Brandon Wheat Kings at Assiniboine Credit Union Place.
The Hurricanes (3-10-0-1) enter on a two-game losing streak after falling 4-2 in Moose Jaw to the Warriors on Friday at Temple Gardens Centre. Logan Wormald scored in his 250th career game while Gavin Lesiuk added the other goal; Koen Cleaver made 28-saves in the defeat. Lethbridge has posted a 2-5-0-0 record on the road this season while having gone 0-3-0-0 against East Division opponents.
The Wheat Kings (2-6-1-0) enter after suffering a 6-4 loss last Saturday in Regina to the Pats at the Brandt Centre. Carter Klippenstein, Joby Baumuller, Caleb Hadland and Chase Surkan scored in the defeat while Filip Ruzicka made 32-saves. Brandon enters having posted a 2-4-1-0 record on home ice this season.
Tonight will be the first of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Wheat Kings; Lethbridge posted a 3-0-0-1 record against Brandon during the 2024-2025 regular season before eliminating the Wheaties in five games in the first-round of the 2025 WHL Playoffs.
