GAME DAY: Hurricanes Look For Weekend Sweep Against Broncos in Swift Current
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will look for a weekend sweep tonight as they visit the Swift Current Broncos at 6:00pm MT at the InnovationPlex.
The Hurricanes (12-25-0-1) enter after ending a three-game losing streak on Friday with a come-from-behind overtime win over the Broncos at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Owen Berge, Will Scott and Kai Anderson scored in regulation before Luke Cozens scored the OT winner. Leif Oaten made 31-saves in the victory. The ‘Canes enter tonight with a 5-14-0-0 record on the road this season.
The Broncos (8-26-2-0) enter on a 16-game losing streak after the 4-3 overtime loss to the ‘Canes on Friday. The loss for Swift Current was the first time in 17-games that they earned a point. Trae Wilke scored twice while Jayden Oleskiw scored the other goal in the loss; Archer Cooke made 24-saves in the defeat. The Broncos enter tonight with a 6-9-1-0 record at home this season.
