GAME DAY: Hurricanes Look for Bounce Back in Edmonton
Edmonton, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will look to return to the win column tonight as they visit the Edmonton Oil Kings at Rogers Place at 7:00pm.
The Hurricanes (5-4-0-0) were handed their second shutout loss of the season on Saturday by the Winnipeg ICE in the final of a three-game homestand at the ENMAX Centre. The ‘Canes outshot the ICE 29-27 in the contest but could not solve ICE netminder Daniel Hauser. Lethbridge will play six of their next seven games on the road as they have posted a 1-2-0-0 record away from home this season.
The Oil Kings (7-2-1-1) enter on a four-game point streak having gone 3-0-1-0 in that span. Edmonton was last in action on Saturday when they suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Deer Rebels at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Jalen Luypen scored twice while Simon Kubicek added the other in the defeat. The Oil Kings enter with a 5-1-0-0 record at Rogers Place this season.
Tonight will be the third of eight meetings on the season between the ‘Canes and Oil Kings; Edmonton has won both prior match-ups. Tonight’s game can be watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge, on WHL Live or heard on 106.7 ROCK.
