GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Warriors for Second Time
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Moose Jaw Warriors for the second time this season.
The Hurricanes (26-16-3-2) enter on a two-game winning streak after a convincing 10-2 win on Sunday afternoon in Edmonton over the Oil Kings. Hayden Smith had three goals and an assist while Tyson Zimmer scored twice; Anton Astashevich, Jett Jones, Miguel Marques, Cole Shepard and Nolan Bentham also scored in the win. Lethbridge improved to 5-1-3-1 in their last ten games while enter tonight with a 14-7-1-2 record on home-ice this season.
The Warriors (30-15-0-3) also enter on a two-game winning streak after earning 3-2 overtime win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday. Atley Calvert and Martin Rysavy scored in regulation while Jagger Firkus netted the overtime winner. Moose Jaw enters tonight with a record of 14-7-0-2 on the season, which ranks tied for second most road victories in the Eastern Conference.
Tonight will be the third of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Warriors; Lethbridge has posted an 0-2-0-0 record against Moose Jaw after dropping a 5-3 contest to the Warriors on January 4th at the ENMAX Centre.
