GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Tigers at 6pm
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue their season long seven game home-stand tonight as they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers at 6:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.
The Hurricanes (4-5-0-0) are coming off their second straight loss on home ice on Friday when they were handed a 6-4 loss by the Swift Current Broncos. Jordy Bellerive scored twice in the loss while Dylan Cozens and Zane Franklin scored singles. Reece Klassen made his first appearance as a ‘Cane after replacing Stuart Skinner for the third period. The ‘Canes went 2/3 on the power play in the loss. Lethbridge enters with a 3-2-0-0 record on home ice this season.
The Tigers (6-3-0-0) have also been off since Friday when they walloped the Kootenay Ice 11-1 at the Canalta Centre. Ryan Jevne led all scorers in the victory with five points (2g-3a) while Dawson Heathcote netted a four point effort (3g-1a) in the win. A total of seven players had multi-point efforts in the game. The Tigers are 1-2-0-0 on the road this season.
Tonight will be the third meeting of the season between the ‘Canes and Tigers. Each team has won once with the home team winning both games.
