GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Rolling Raiders
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a four-game homestand tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the East Division leading Prince Albert Raiders at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena.
The Hurricanes (4-12-0-1) enter having ended a four-game losing streak on Saturday with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Tri-City Americans. Shane Smith scored twice, including the overtime winner, while Hudson Kibblewhite and Carsen Adair added the others in the win; Koen Cleaver made 26-saves in the victory. Lethbridge enters tonight with a record of 2-6-0-1 on the season, but are 0-4-0-0 against East Division opponents.
The Raiders (10-0-3-0) enter unbeaten in regulation this season. Prince Albert enters after earning a 6-4 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday at the Art Hauser Centre. Max Heise scored three times wile Connor Howe, Daxon Rudolph and Jonah Sivertson potted the others in the win; Dimitri Fortin made 20-saves in the victory. The Raiders enter with a 3-0-1-0 record on the road this season as they open a seven-game road trip.
Tonight will be the first of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Raiders; Lethbridge posted a 3-1-0-0 record against Prince Albert last season. Berge In, Toogood Out: On October 27th, the Hurricanes acquired 2006-born forward Owen Berge from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for an eighth-round draft pick in 2028. The Edmonton, AB, product appeared in 139 regular season games with the Warriors amassing 33 points (15g-18a) and 55 penalty minutes. The ‘Canes also released 2007-born forward Jack Toogood. Canada Calling: Leif Oaten is currently attending the 2025 Under-17 World Challenge. He was named to the Canada Red for the tournament. Oaten becomes the first Hurricanes player to attend the U17 tournament since 2023 when Koen Cleaver and Will Sharpe appeared for Canada White. The tournament will take place in Truro, Nova Scotia from October 31 until November 8.
