GAME DAY: Hurricanes Head to Capital to Face Oil Kings
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to action tonight as they visit the Edmonton Oil Kings at Rogers Place at 7:00pm.
The Hurricanes (3-1-0-0) have been off since a 2-1 overtime victory last Saturday against the Red Deer Rebels. Alex Cotton scored both goals, including his third career overtime goal, while Bryan Thomson made 31-saves in the victory. Lethbridge has posted a 1-0-0-0 record away from home so far this season.
The Oil Kings (3-1-0-1) were last in action last Saturday when they were downed 3-2 in a shootout by the Medicine Hat Tigers. Shea Van Olm and Lethbridge product John Szabo both scored in the losing cause while Sebastian Cossa made 28-saves. Edmonton is 1-0-0-0 at home this season.
Tonight will be the second meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Oil Kings; Edmonton earned a 2-1 victory last Wednesday at the ENMAX Centre. Tonight’s game can be watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge, on WHL Live or heard on 106.7 ROCK.
