GAME DAY: Hurricanes Face Oil Kings Tonight at 7:00pm
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes play the second of a two game homestand this weekend as they welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.
The Hurricanes (24-21-6-0) are coming off a 5-2 victory last night over the Swift Current Broncos. Five different goal scorers lit the lamp, including three defenseman, while Logan Flodell made 40 saves in the win. The ‘Canes scored three times on the power play after going nine games without a goal on the man advantage. The win improved the ‘Canes home record to 14-8-4-0 on the season.
The Oil Kings (14-29-5-2) earned a 5-2 win on Wednesday in Cranbrook over the Kootenay Ice. Five different goal scorers found the net for the Oil Kings in the win while Todd Scott made 30 saves. The win improved the OK’s record to 4-5-1-0 in their last ten games and 8-15-1-0 on the road this year.
Tonight will be the fifth of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Oil Kings; Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-1-0 record against Edmonton including a 1-0-1-0 record at home against the Oil Kings.
