GAME DAY: Hurricanes End February in Brandon Against Wheat Kings Tonight
Brandon, MB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will end the month of February tonight at 6:00pm MT as they visit the Brandon Wheat Kings at Westoba Place in the third of a four-game East Division road trip.
The Hurricanes (37-19-2-1) enter on a three-game winning streak after a come-from-behind 2-1 overtime win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday at the Art Hauser Centre. Brayden Yager scored in regulation before Shane Smith scored in overtime; Jackson Unger made 26-saves in the victory. Lethbridge outshot Prince Albert 32-27 in the game. The ‘Canes enter tonight with a 16-13-1-1 record on the road this season and are 13-3-1-0 in their last 17 away from home.
The Wheat Kings (31-18-4-3) enter with a 7-2-1-0 record in their last 10 games after earning a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Wednesday. Adam Belusko, Marcus Nguyen, Giorgos Pantelas and Joby Baumuller scored in the win while Carson Bjarnason made 46-saves in the victory. Brandon was outshot 47-40 in the game by Edmonton. The Wheaties enter tonight with a 15-7-4-2 record on home ice this year.
