GAME DAY: Hurricanes Begin Nine Games in Nine Cities Stretch in Moose Jaw
Moose Jaw, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes open a three-game road trip tonight at 6:00pm MT when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
The Hurricanes (9-5-1-0) enter having ended a two-game losing streak on Wednesday with a see-saw 7-6 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Leo Braillard scored twice while Logan McCutcheon, Brayden Edwards, Kash Andresen, Logan Wormald and Cameron Norrie scored in the game. Lethbridge enters tonight with a 1-4-0-0 record on the road this year having lost their last four-straight games away from home. The ‘Canes lead the Central Division.
The Warriors (4-11-2-0) enter with a 1-8-1-0 record in their last 10 games after ending their five-game BC Division road trip on Saturday with a 6-2 loss in Vancouver to the Giants. Rilen Kovacevic and Ethan Hughes scored in the loss while Dimitri Fortin stopped 19 of 20 shots in relief of Jackson Unger. Moose Jaw has posted a 2-4-0-0 record in six home games so far this season.
Tonight will be the second of five meetings between the Hurricanes and the defending WHL Champion Warriors; Lethbridge has gone 1-0-0-0 so far this season against Moose Jaw. It will also mark the first game in a stretch where the ‘Canes will play nine games in nine different cities with eight of those on the road.
