#4 – KEVIN ST. JACQUES
Kevin St. Jacques played for the Lethbridge Hurricanes for parts of four seasons from 1989 until 1992.
St. Jacques was acquired by the Hurricanes from the Spokane Chiefs. He appeared in a total of 234 regular season games with the Hurricanes accumulating 300 points (139g-161a) along with 280 penalty minutes. His best offensive season was in his final year in the Western Hockey League when he racked up 140 points (65g-75a) and 159 penalty minutes in 71 games.
The Edmonton, Alberta product set the mark for most goals in a single season by a Hurricane with 65 in 1991-1992. St. Jacques sits 19th in All-Time Hurricanes games played (234), third in All-Time goals (139), seventh in All-Time assists (161) and fourth in All-Time points (300).
St. Jacques was named the recipient of the Hurricanes Three-Star Award in 1991-1992. He led the Hurricanes in scoring in 1991-1992 with 140 points and also led the entire WHL in scoring as he was the first of only two Hurricanes in franchise history who was awarded the winner of the Bob Clarke Trophy for the WHL’s top scorer.
The 6’3”, 203-pound forward was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the sixth round (112th overall) in the 1991 National Hockey League Entry Draft. St. Jacques went on to play 942 games in professional hockey where he racked up 1,068 points (367g-701a).
He played in 239 games in the East Coast Hockey League with the Columbus Chill and the Bakersfield Condors accumulating 239 points (72g-167a) along with 384 penalty minutes.
St. Jacques retired from hockey in 2007.
