TRADE: Hitmen Complete Pair of Transactions – Acquire Defencemen Kaden Meyer
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen have acquired 2008-born defenceman Kaden Meyer from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft and a sixth-round pick in 2026.
In a separate transaction with the Swift Current Broncos, the Hitmen acquire a second-round pick in 2026 (originally from Penticton) and a second-round pick in 2028 in exchange for forward Noah Kosick.
Kaden Meyer was drafted by Kamloops in the sixth round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft. The six foot three defenceman from Delta, BC is coming off a successful season with the Greater Vancouver Canadians U18 AAA, where he finished the year with 50 points (11g, 29a) in 36 games played.
“Kaden had a terrific season in the BC U18 elite league, and has shown great development from his 15 to 16 year old seasons. He has length, athletic ability and a growing offensive game.” said Hitmen General Manager Garry Davidson. “We are excited to add him to our promising young group of defenders.
